Last night, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch read the announcement that not charges would be filed against Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson over the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. During the 40-plus minute press conference, and before even announcing the grand jury’s decision, McCulloch continually insulted and blamed the tension in Ferguson on the media for its coverage of Brown’s death.
“The most significant challenge encountered in this investigation has been the 24-hour news cycle and its insatiable appetite for something, for anything to talk about, following closely behind with the non-stop rumors on social media,” said McCullough.
