Baltimore’s conservative jewel, WBFF, aired coverage of an anti-brutality protest in Washington D.C. last night. In what appears to be little more than an effort to continue to drive racial division deeper and escalate tension between populations and the police that are supposed to protect them, the station is being accused of having edited the footage from the protest to make it sound as though the protesters are chanting “kill a cop.” Participants from the protest claim that they said no such thing; in fact, the idea of encouraging more violence is repugnant to them.

According to Gawker, the actual line being chanted is as follows:

We can’t stop!

We won’t stop!

’til killer cops are in cell blocks!

After editing the footage, the chant sounds like this:

We can’t stop!

We won’t stop!

So kill a cop!
