Right-wing, fundamentalist pastor David Barton recently delivered a sermon in which he said there will never be an AIDS cure because that disease is God’s punishment for being gay, reported Right Wing Watch.
“The Bible says if you engage in homosexuality, your body will do things that will penalize you,” said Barton. “So if you can have a vaccine for AIDS, then you’re keeping your body from penalizing you. I don’t think they’ll ever find a vaccine for AIDS.”
