On yesterday’s episode of the Big Picture, host Thom Hartmann discussed the White House’s response to the letter from Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, urging President Obama not to seek an endorsement from the United Nations on the nuclear agreement with Iran.
“The legislation would likely have a profoundly negative impact on the ongoing negotiations,” read the letter from the White House, “emboldening Iranian hard-liners, inviting a counter-productive response from the Iranian majlis; differentiating the US position from our allies in the negotiations; and once again calling into question our ability to negotiate this deal.”
