On yesterday’s O’Reilly Factor, Fox News correspondent Bernie Goldberg told host Bill O’Reilly that he needs to finally admit that, if the “liberal media” is biased — so is Fox News, Mediaite reported.
“Liberal news organizations are going to play down liberal screw-ups,” said Goldberg, “but Fox News is gonna play down conservative screw-ups.”
O’Reilly, of course, disagreed with this, pretending that his show isn’t biased towards Republicans. Goldberg conceded his point, and the pair agreed other Fox News personalities Bret Baier, Christ Wallace, and Megyn Kelly were “great.”
“That’s most of Fox,” said O’Reilly.
“No, not even close,” Goldberg replied.
After O’Reilly said that Fox News isn’t “the conservative network,” Goldberg listed off examples to prove that, yes, it is.
“Conservatives on this channel will only blame Barack Obama for what’s happening in the Middle East,” said Goldberg, “and they will conveniently leave out that [George W.] Bush started the fire.”
“Even opinion journalism has to be fair,” Goldberg concluded. “When you just pick on the other guy’s side, and go easy on your side … that’s not fair.”
