Neil deGrasse Tyson gives the best answer to anyone who has a crazy uncle and thinks aliens have visited us or that the government is hiding things from the public. Tyson has a problem with claims made without evidence. In fact, he says it is incredibly common among humans because we so desperately want to understand, but when we have no information of evidence to come to a logical conclusion, we’ll make stuff up.
That, he says, is the first mistake we must correct before a conversation can start a meaningful conversation.
