Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto and contributor Ben Stein ripped on Hillary Clinton’s and Sen. Bernie Sanders’ plans to tax the wealthy. Their plan of attack? Victimize the rich and make them look like the unfortunate ones.
Stein goes on to say that no tax plan is going help all the “people who are slobs, drunks, [and] drug addicts.” That is misleading because only a small percentage of people in America are like this. He also falsely explains Sanders’ tax plan as an attempt to make poor people rich. That’s wrong. It’s not about making poor people rich; it’s about ending income inequality and growing the middle class.
What’s worse, they have started throwing around the term “class warfare.” They are correct that class warfare has been waged, but it’s the wealthy that have been waging it and winning.
