Vermont Senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has introduced legislation that would make the first four years of college free for Americans.
Republicans will undoubtedly oppose the bill and whine that we can’t afford that in this country. But they’d be wrong, Bernie Sanders has, as always, done his homework.
His legislation proposes to fund its education subsidies by taxing Wall Street exchanges. Effectively, the bill will tax the richest in America to pay for education for the rest of us.
