The allegations against confessed child molester Josh Duggar resulted in TLC dropping all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting from its lineup. Since the revelations against the Duggars, the Arkansas Department of Human Services has launched another investigation, reported CBS News.
Arkansas state law states that records concerning child investigations remained sealed, so details concerning the new investigation are unknown. In Touch obtained a recording of a 911 call of DHS officials.
“We’re the Washington County DHS office and we’re out here to have an investigation,” said the voice to the dispatcher. “I guess they’re not being cooperative, and we have to see the child to make sure the child is alright. So we just need police assistance or escort.”
The call was made after the Duggar family allegedly refused to cooperate with the DHS investigation efforts. It’s still unclear which child DHS was concerned about. In Touch noted that DHS investigations in Arkansas can be prompted by many things, including hotline complaints.
Josh’s younger sisters, and victims, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seawald appeared on The Kelly File for an exclusive interview with host Megyn Kelly. They both defended their brother.
“I’m not going to justify anything that he did or say it was ok, not permissible, but I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist, [like] some people are saying,” said Seawald. “I’m like, ‘That is so overboard and a lie, really.’ I mean, people get mad at me for saying that, but I can say this because I was one of the victims.”
