According to the local news report, police arrested Amber Stephenson, on charges of child neglect, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In the video, Stephenson can be heard telling her 6-year-old son to hit Rebecca Mills, the other person in the fight, in the face.
Horrifyingly, the child complies and hits the woman in the face, with his fists and shampoo and kicks her.
“[The woman] was sitting there yelling at an employee at Walmart, and she was telling her that she was an [expletive] and that she was going to get out of the chair and whoop her [expletive],” Stephenson said to the Smiley Morning Show. “She used the ‘n-word,’ so, in my defense, I was standing up for the employee.”
Walmart issued a statement regarding the incident to WXIN-TV:
This type of behavior inside one of our stores is completely unacceptable and we are notifying the individuals involved that they are no longer welcome on Walmart property. Once we were aware of this situation, a member of our management immediately called the police and we are continuing to work with them on this matter.
