California isn’t alone in suffering from drought conditions. Many areas of the west are suffering from drought or drought-like conditions. One such region is the state of Oregon. In nineteen counties, an emergency state has been declared because of the drought by Governor Kate Brown. Now Nestle is eyeing buying rights to springs in Oregon and wants to build a bottling plant on the side of the Columbia River.

That’s right. Just like the capitalist monster that it is, sucking California dry isn’t enough for Nestle. Now Nestle wants to bring its greed to the banks of the Columbia River.

Many feel that its a terrible idea for Oregon to allow Nestle to lock down usage rights to a private corporation, especially while people are suffering the effects of a drought.

Watch protesters make a stand against the greed of Nestle in this clip.
