Currently, reports indicate that seven people were shot in Baltimore Wednesday night. Three of the victims were under the age of 18.

Police have arrested Keon White, 25, for the shooting of three teenagers, a 13-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and a -16-year-old girl. According to police, the shooting stemmed from “neighborhood nonsense.”

“It is totally unacceptable for this community to see three teenagers being shot on a beautiful summer night like this,” said Interim Commissioner Kevin Davis. “It’s my impression that they’ve had enough.”

Another, unidentified man, 34, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the area hospital in another incident Wednesday night. Police are currently investigating this case.

According to the Baltimore Sun, 60 more people “have been killed in the city this year than the same time last year.”

A member of the community, Kristen Allen, remarked that it’s a tragedy to see such violence taking place.

“It’s really terrible that these events are happening at the rate that they’re happening,” she said. “Now I really don’t want my son to come outside, because you just never know what’s going to happen.”

This incident comes just as 11 individuals were shot and two died in a Louisiana theater by a “lone wolf” gunman.

Authorities in that case are still struggling to find a motive for the perpetrator’s actions. Though, the NRA and the conservative gun-nut wing will almost certainly see these tragedies as an opportunity to call for more guns in the hands of more people.
