Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) turns out to be a bit of a wordsmith. In 1987, Sanders recorded a 5-track spoken word album which shows that people have been feeling the Bern for decades. Sanders isn’t musically-inclined, but he certainly has a way with words.
Here’s what Vermont-based musician Todd Lockwood, who collaborated with Sanders, said of him.
“As talented of a guy as he is, he has absolutely not one musical bone in his body, and that became painfully obvious from the get-go,” said Lockwood. “This is a guy who couldn’t even tap his foot to music coming over the radio. No sense of melody. No sense of rhythm — the rhythm part surprised me, because he has good rhythm when he’s delivering a speech in public.”
Have a listen.
