Republican candidate Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) continues to criticize Donald Trump. He’s stating that if Trump wins the Republican party’s nomination, it marks the death of the GOP.
“If Donald Trump is the nominee, that’s the end of the Republican Party,” Graham said Tuesday on CNN.
“He’s shallow. He’s ill-prepared to be commander in chief,” said Graham, a retired Air Force colonel. “He’s a complete idiot when it comes to Mideast policy.”
Graham hopes that “common sense” will prevail within the GOP.
Unfortunately, Graham and other Republicans need to come to terms with the idea that their low poll numbers (Graham at 4 percent) is a reflection of how out of touch they are with the Republican party. Trump is the face of conservatism in America, and it has been ugly a lot longer than Graham and other Republicans recognize.
