MSNBC, the crumbling network, announced that it will be ending Rev. Al Sharpton’s daily show, relegating him to the weekends. For the last four years, Sharpton’s “Politics Nation” aired weeknights at 6 p.m. EDT. This is the latest in MSNBC’s corporation-driven cancellation of progressive programming in favor of headline-based news.

Sharpton continued his political activism while hosting the show. Apparently the suits at Comcast and MSNBC didn’t like that, so they’ve silenced Sharpton.

Here are the biggest progressive voices that MSNBC has either lost or fired.

Keith Olbermann

Ed Schultz

Cenk Uygur

Phil Donahue

MSNBC is losing a lot of important people in the wake of its rightward shift.
