Conservatives have been taking political advantage of the death of Texas Deputy Darren Goforth. They blame President Obama for having created a culture that allows or even encourages violence against police, even though that is patently false. The latest advantage-seeking conservative is Ted Cruz. Recently, Cruz told reporters that he supported our emergency personnel 100 percent, as though to draw a distinction between himself and the president.
