Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) talks the talk, and he most definitely walks the walk. On Friday, Sanders joined a picket line with union workers who were protesting against their employer, Penford Products, reported Crooks and Liars.
Penford Products was recently bought out by Ingredion Inc., and workers are protesting to urge Ingredion to draw up a fairer contract. Sanders has fought for workers’ rights for decades. He arrived at the plant, got a sign, and began picketing with the workers. The Washington Post tweeted this photo of Sanders joining the picket line:

According to the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union Local 100G, the union representing the workers, Ingredion’s negotiating team has shown a complete “disregard for the plant workers.” The company has yet to draw up a fairer contract for workers.
While all of the other candidates huff and puff about American workers and the economy, Sanders is the only candidate willing to stand by his word. We don’t see Donald Trump out there marching with workers and sweating in the summer heat.
