McDonald’s really doesn’t care about its workers. Mother Jones released a video report of McDonald’s employees discussing the horrendous safety standards at their jobs. In several cases, employees who suffered burns were denied first aid and were instructed to put either ketchup, mayonnaise, or mustard on the burn. That is insane.
According to Hart Research Associates, on behalf of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, 75 percent of employees out of a sample of 1,100 reported being burned on the job. One-third of those burned employees are never offered proper first aid by their employer, which is appalling.
