Larry Wilmore went after Republicans making comparisons of Kim Davis to Martin Luther King, Jr. In the view of many conservatives, because Davis “speaks her mind” and has gone to jail for her beliefs, she is immediately equatable to famous civil rights leaders of the past. It’s a ridiculous comparison and one that doesn’t hold up when the words of those like Martin Luther King, Jr. are known.
