In the very beginning of Donald Trump’s campaign, he attacked Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Then he attacked Fox News host Megyn Kelly, then Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, and now he and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal are having a Twitter fight.
This is one for the ages because these aren’t passive aggressive tweets indirectly geared towards a third party. Jindal and Trump are going back and forth directly at each other. It’s a digital food fight between two toddlers. Jindal calls Trump a name, and Trump responds with an insult of his own.
This is the current state of American politics. Technology has allowed candidates to take their political attacks directly to their target in real-time without thinking of the long-term consequences. It’s like watching competing fraternities fight.
What great entertainment. Unfortunately, this is the real world, and one of the mudslingers is the leading GOP candidate to run for President of the United States. Thus, it’s simply pathetic beyond words.
Jindal came out swinging for the fences.
