Bernie Sanders appeared on CBS This Morning to discuss the issues in our country. While talking with the show’s hosts, Bernie Sanders noted that it is completely outrageous for Donald Trump to continue to allow doubt about President Obama’s citizenship to foment with those who follow him.
“I think that’s a disgrace, to again question whether or not the president of the United States was born in this country or whether he’s a Christian,” said Sanders. “I thought we were beyond that. It is an outrage.”
In a tweet Sanders said, “Trump must apologize to the president and American people for continuing the lie that the president is not an American and not a Christian.”
