A group of kids from Virginia’s Christiansburg High School have been making waves online. The students are defiantly adorning themselves with Confederate flags in opposition to the school’s dress code which bans them.
“They’re trying to get rid of it, and they’re not trying to get rid of any other flags,” said Forrest Taylor, a student at the school. “They say it’s racist even though it’s not.”
“It’s not racist, I can tell you that right now. My brother left this world a few months ago, and he told me it doesn’t matter what people say, keep the flag flying for me,” said another student, Hannah Smith.
