Donald Trump seems to be having trouble convincing conservative evangelicals that he’s really a Christian. At the Values Voters Summit, Trump made his most overt plea to convince people that he is a Christian.
It started with Trump holding up a Bible and claiming that “it brings back so many memories.”
Later, Trump became more direct.
“People were not sure I was a nice person,” said Trump, “and I am. I am. I am. I am. I am. I’m a giving person. I believe in God, I believe in the Bible. I’m a Christian. I have a lot of reasons. I love people.”
