An ex-staffer for the House Select Committee on Benghazi confirmed on CNN that the Benghazi investigation was politically-aimed towards Hillary Clinton.

Bradley Podliska, the ex-staffer, was fired in June after he refused to concentrate his investigative focus solely on Clinton. Podliska worked as an investigator on the committee for nine months, before being released over the summer. He’s a self-described “conservative Republican.”

“I’m scared,” said Podliska. “I’m going up against powerful people in Washington. I was fired for trying to conduct an objective, nonpartisan, thorough investigation.”

“This has become a partisan investigation,” he added. “I do not know the reason for the hyper focus on Hillary Clinton.”

Podliska said that the committee may not have started out with an anti-Hillary mission, but it certainly turned out that way. The House Select Committee, however, has denied Podliska’s allegations.
