Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at an event in southeastern Iowa and said Joe Biden’s decision to not run was a smart one. He added that he’d rather “run against Hillary” anyway.

“You know, when you have a baseball team or a football team, you sort of get your heart set on something,” said Trump of running against Clinton. “That’s the one we want to go against because you go against that record . . . we’re going to win, we’re going to win big.”

Trump is currently the Republican frontrunner according to the ABC News/Washington Post poll at 32 percent, leading Ben Carson, who has 22 percent.

If Donald Trump thinks he’s going to have an easy time running against Hillary Clinton, should they each get their respective party’s nomination, he is mistaken. This is familiar ground for Clinton, and she’s not going to give up the presidency without a fight.
