No one actually watched the Republican undercard debate Thursday evening, so no one saw Mike Huckabee insinuate that Obama is a bit too cozy with the religion of Islam, but it did happen.
Huckabee was asked about the visa requirement for refugees, particularly referring to the Syrian refugees which have every GOP’er up in arms.
Huckabee did some creative juggling and spun this question into a criticism of Obama and the fact that he hasn’t condemned the entire Muslim religion on the basis of a few followers.
“We have a president who seems to be more interested in protecting the reputation and image of Islam than he is about protecting us.”
You’ve got to hand it to ol’ Huckabee. Even after all these years, he still has the same passionate hatred and misinformation. That’s the sort of consistency we need in Washington!
