President Obama was recently asked whether or not First Lady Michelle was considering a presidential run, to which the president gave a quick and resounding “no.”

“Is there any way that we, as a group, can talk the First Lady into running?” asked an audience member during a town hall meeting in Louisiana.

The crowd erupted in laughter as the President replied,

“No, no no no. Let me tell you, there are three things certain in life: Death, taxes, and Michelle is not running for president.”

Obama did make sure to mention the important work that his wife has done as First Lady, saying that he is sure she will be doing many more important things in the future as well. But evidently, being president will never, and he means NEVER be one of those things.
