Pharma Bro Martin Shkreli was called before congress on Thursday in order to testify on outrageous drug hikes like the one he had gained infamy for. Rather than cooperate with Congress, Shkreli refused to respond to any questions. Instead, Shkreli read a prepared statement from his legal council and invoked his Fifth Amendment right.

Shkreli was endlessly flippant during the hearing, smirking in reply to increasingly angry questioning from representatives. At least once, he appeared close to laughter. Once he left the courtroom, Shkreli tweeted out a quick insult to Congress.

While other drug companies have seem cooperative and even repentant for their role in taking advantage of defenseless Americans, Shkreli continues to display his uber-rich ego.

Shkreli was arrested in December under charges of securities fraud, though many feel that the rich boy should also be facing charges for hiking the price of a lifesaving HIV medication more than 5,000 percent. Hopefully, the courts will be as uncooperative with him as he is being for them when the time for his hearing comes.
