On Sunday, Senator Elizabeth Warren sat down for an interview to discuss the presidential race. From the Republican extremism to her own Democratic endorsement, Warren spoke openly and with strong conviction.
Warren referred to the obstruction in the Senate over the Supreme Court Justice election as “extremism.”
“And it is that kind of extremism that has nursed and nurtured Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.”
When asked about the violence during the Friday Chicago Trump rally, Warren refused to condemn the protesters, instead placing full blame on Trump and his rhetoric.
“This is on Trump. This is what Trump has been fostering and fermenting for months now. And it finally reached the next level. I think people are worried about what this means. We’re in a new space and we’re trying to figure out, how do we describe this?”
“I am not happy to see Donald Trump even threatening to get anywhere near the presidency. Don’t take me there. That is a form of extremism. He advocates a form of ugliness that I don’t want any part of.”
And on Mitt Romney’s recent speaking out about Trump? Too little too late.
“Where was Mitt Romney for the last eight years? I’m sorry, where was Mitt Romney since he ran for president?”
