According to a new study published in the journal Global Biochemical Cycles – the warming of the planet is literally suffocating the oceans. Parts of Pacific and Atlantic basins – the study says – could see “widespread deoxygenation” as quickly as 14 years from now – by 2030. This could decimate global fisheries – threatening the livelihoods of millions. And, when you look at the geologic history of the earth, whenever the oceans begin to die off in a big way, within a short time life on land dies off, too. Rebecca Downs, Anya Parampil, & Bryan Pruitt join Thom Hartmann to discuss this.
