During an interview of sorts being held on social media aggregate site Reddit, Florida 23rd congressional candidate Tim Canova suggested that the DNC may be considering placing Bernie Sanders as the DNC chair as a replacement for the much-reviled Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Canova, who is currently running against Wasserman Schultz and is facing an uphill battle against the establishment character, said that he had heard rumors of a possible changeup in the leadership if Sanders doesn’t become the Democratic nominee.

Considering that the Clinton campaign has already begun orchestrating some changes in the party to weaken and possibly shield Wasserman Schultz from further criticism, this pretty unlikely scenario has a bit of plausibility.

While this prospect may excite some, the position of DNC chair would likely not be one which would suit the Vermont Senator as it consists largely of fundraising efforts and tiptoeing carefully around the Washington establishment.

Until further information is made available, this rumor should be set in the “not likely” category.
