During a “Morning Joe” panel, host Joe Scarborough conveniently brought up some insider knowledge he claimed to have about a meeting between Republican nominee Donald Trump and a foreign policy adviser.

According to the unnamed adviser, Trump asked three times during the conversation about nuclear weapons, wondering why America wouldn’t use them, if they were available.

According to Scarborough, Trump said, “If we have them, why can’t we use them?”

“I have to follow up with that, but I’ll be very careful here. Several months ago, a foreign policy expert on the international level went to advise Donald Trump, and three times he asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked, at one point, ‘If we have them, why can’t we use them?”

The Trump camp has replied to this claim from Scarborough, saying that Trump never said such things. Without a video source, we can’t really confirm who is telling the truth here, but it does sound like something Trump would do.
