Zephyr Teachout is facing the congressional race of her life against Republican opponent John Faso, but with the label of the most successful Berniecrat and a vibrant, progressive agenda, Teachout is winning more than just liberals.
In a new campaign ad released by the candidate, Teachout features a conservative upstate New York man who is outraged that corporations are trying to force an oil pipeline through his privately owned land.
It is because of this pipeline, and his opposition to it, that the man says he will be voting for Teachout.
“We need some new blood.”
The man paints Teachout’s opponent as more of the same Washington types, a former paid lobbyist who he considers the lowest of the low. In this man’s mind, Teachout’s alternative style and new ideas is exactly what is needed.
