Tomi Lahren’s rise to fame and prominence was swift, and it seems, so was her fall from grace. According to Page Six, what was originally a temporary suspension has been made permanent.

Shortly after it was announced that Lahren would be suspended from her show at The Blaze for just a week, another announcement was made this weekend that the suspension would be extended indefinitely.

Lahren was initially suspended for expressing pro-choice views during an appearance on The View. Some speculated that she was hoping to win liberal brownie points by touting these unexpected views, but whatever she intended, it appears to have backfired. In response to her statements, she was publicly criticized by many fellow conservatives including her own boss.

Initially, a source close to Beck said that he was making an example of Lahren in order to enforce traditional conservative views.

“Glenn is reminding the world of his conservative principles by sidelining Tomi after she insulted conservatives by calling them hypocrites.”

Others suggested that Beck had no direction and was floundering to find his place – Lahren was just an unfortunate casualty of that lack of direction.

In an earlier interview from 2016, Lahren indicated that she would not be staying at The Blaze past the length of her contract, which was set to expire in September. The tone then was that Lahren would far outgrow the network and that she would be seeking an outlet with viewer constraints.

Now, it appears that Lahren is on the job hunt sooner rather than later. If Lahren is truly the opportunist that many suggest she is, we may see a milder, more left-leaning Tomi popping up next to Morning Joe or elsewhere on MSNBC sooner than you think.
