Frequent Fox News guest Gavin McInnes apparently thinks it’s the 1850s, saying on yesterday’s episode of Hannity that women would be much happier as stay-at-home moms and housewives than they are in the workforce.

During a segment on the accusations that former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton pays her female staff members less than their male counterparts.

Fellow guess Tamara Holder said the reports were false.

McInnes then went off the deep end.

“…Women do earn less in America because they choose to. They would rather go to their daughter’s piano recital than stay all night at work, working on a proposal, so they end up earning less. They’re less ambitious and I think this is sort of God’s way — this is nature’s way of saying women should be at home with the kids. They’re happier there.”

Holder, of course, was dumbfounded by McInnes remarks.

“I hope that your viewers don’t take you seriously,” she said.

Sadly, they do.
