A devastating list of allegations have been filed against an Arkansas state judge. The allegations include that the judge gave preferential treatment to white male defendants who would engage in sexual relationships with him.

As the Huffington Post reports:

In a shocking statement of allegations filed Tuesday, the state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission accused Cross County District Judge Joseph Boeckmann of giving preferential court treatment to “young Caucasian male litigants” that he had sexual relations with, and using their community service hours for work at his own home. The commission also accused Boeckmann of having child pornography on his computer.

The commission’s allegations have been submitted to state prosecutors to evaluate whether to pursue criminal charges. According to Arkansas Online, Boeckmann has 30 days to respond to the charges and he is entitled to a hearing before the commission. If he is found guilty by the commission, it could “admonish, reprimand or censure” him.

Among the numerous allegations against Boeckmann is the description of what appears to be standard practice of Boeckmann.

From Arkansas Online:

The report says Boechmann at times told offenders to perform “substitutionary sentences” and asked them to “contact him to present their ‘trash pick up’ requirements at either his office or his home.”

When litigants arrived to complete the required trash pickup, Boeckmann would take pictures of their buttocks as they bent over to work, the commission alleges.

“Upon the litigant presenting himself to Boeckmann’s home or office, he then solicited sexual relations with these young men in exchange for reductions of or dismissals of their court fines and costs,” Emily White, deputy executive director of the commission, wrote in the allegations report.

Authorities will also be seizing and searching Boeckmann’s personal computers to evaluate allegations that he possesses child pornography.
