People going to jail for predicted crimes that they did not yet commit is not just the stuff of futuristic movies. Courts around the country are using risk assessment software created by for profit private companies to determine whether an offender will offend again. This technology does not succeed at removing bias from the courts, but only exacerbates it. Naomi Karavani explains this and more on Redacted Tonight.
